SANAAQ CENTER - MONTREAL

Go Multimédia has signed the audiovisual and multimedia design contract for the new Sanaaq Cultural and Community Center, which opened in May 2025 in downtown Montreal. This flagship project, the result of an international architectural competition, embodies an inclusive and contemporary vision of public space. Working in close collaboration with architects Architecture49 and Pelletier de Fontenay, engineers and city teams, we designed an integrated technological infrastructure to support the diversity of cultural, community and civic uses. Our intervention covers all spaces: performance hall, creative studios, library, exhibition hall and multifunctional spaces. Each environment was designed to offer a fluid, accessible and evolving experience, integrating broadcasting, capture, scenic lighting and digital mediation systems.

The center's name pays homage to the novel Sanaaq by Inuit author Mitiarjuk Nappaaluk, a pioneering work of Aboriginal literature chosen to reflect the cultural mix and highlight the presence of Inuit communities in Montreal. This project demonstrates our commitment to creating technological environments that enrich uses, support cultural programming and strengthen the link between architecture and community.
